We’ve been working on a great new feature for the Alexa Radio Skill so that users can now ask Alexa what song is playing on their Radio Skill.
Until recently, the functionality of the skill was limited to ‘Alexa, play <your radio station>’ and the skill would stream the live station.
Now, with additional development, the skills also support ‘Alexa, ask <your radio station> what song is playing?’ which is a great additional to the skill. This means that people can ask Alexa the name of the song and artist when they hear a song that is playing.
This feature is available when the radio is playing or not, so users can even find out what song is playing before even tuning in!
This new feature ships automatically with all new orders of the Amazon Alexa Radio Skill from autopo.st here.
